Chef Raymond Li : From felon to one of Miami’s Top Chefs

Li’s Dim Sum by Raymond Li is a father and son local dim sum company, with both relatives having the same name. The Chino-Latino-inspired family business blends the traditional flavors with a mix of different cultures, done with Avant-garde cooking techniques.

Their goal as a business is to “Touch the hearts” one guest at a time with bold and unique flavors influenced by family tradition and Modern Gastronomy. Li’s Dim Sum opened in May 2020 amidst the COVID-19 pandemic and national restaurant shutdown. The father-son duo got started in their apartment and have transitioned to a pop-up restaurant in Coral Gables, FL. Chef Raymond Li is grateful for where he is today and is a building a legacy to leave to his 3 year old son, Liam Li .

Li’s story has inspires others and reminds them that their past does not determine their future Li’s Dim Sum will be transitioning to something unique and intimate – A Tasting Menu blending hyper local ingredients, avant- garde plating, & dim sum.
